Hakka body chief joins Parti KDM

KENINGAU: Sabah and Labuan Hakka Association Federation Chairman Datuk Yong Oi Kiong joined Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) on Tuesday.

KDM President Datuk Peter Anthony also announced that Yong was appointed the party’s supreme council member.

He said Yong’s entry proves that KDM is increasingly accepted by the community, not only from the Kadazan, Dusun, and Murut (KDM) ethnic groups but also all segments of society, including the Chinese community.

At the same event, a businessman, Chin Hon Shu, also joined KDM and was appointed the party’s division head in Keningau.

Chin said he joined KDM because he believes the party is sincere in its efforts to help the people.
