LABUAN: Datuk Wong Kii Yii was sworn-in as the chairman of the Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce for the 5th three-year term after he retained the post unopposed at the AGM held recently.
The swearing-in ceremony for the new office bearers was witnessed by Sabah United Chinese Chamber Chairman Tan Sri Andrew Liew Sui Fatt and attended by 20 chamber leaders and members from several district in Sabah was held Saturday admist a gala dinner. Andrew donated RM 20,000 to support the chamber’s activities.

Speaking to Daily Express Wong, said: “I am honoured by the continued confidence shown by members and will ensure that the chamber plays an effective role in resolving trade-related Labuan woes.”
He noted that at times, he needed to be vocal to produce results “Labuan expects me voice out views should not be misinterpreted as confrontation with the authorities.”
