Muafakat Nasional president Annuar Musa said Noh Omar’s appointment is to further strengthen the organisation.
PETALING JAYA: Former Selangor Umno chief Noh Omar has been appointed deputy president of Muafakat Nasional, a society formed after the collapse in 2022 of a similarly-named alliance between Umno and PAS.
MN president Annuar Musa said Noh Omar’s appointment was to strengthen the organisation at central and state levels and ensure that MN’s objectives and initiatives can be effectively implemented to meet the demands of the constitution and the MN charter.

Noh was sacked by Umno last year for violating party discipline during the 2022 general election.
Annuar also named former Bagan Datuk Umno youth chief Nik Azli Nik Ariffin as Perak MN chairman.
Annuar said MN is very concerned about the various issues affecting the people, especially the hardships caused by the rising cost of living. This is a result of the government’s failure to address the issue efficiently and effectively.
