Two men walk free after prosecution fails to prove 550.5g meth-trafficking charges in Sandakan

SANDAKAN: Two man were discharged and acquitted of trafficking in 550.5g of methamphetamine by the High Court, here, Friday.

High Court Judge Saiful Azian Mokhtar gave the orders for permanent resident Mohammad Absan, 37, and local Jomel Abdul Jalal, 33, without calling for their defence after the prosecution failed to prove prima facie cases against them.

Mohammad and Jomel was charged with drug trafficking in front of Agro Bazaar at Jalan Sandakan - Beluran, KM52, Sandakan, on Oct. 1, 2020.
