500 expected at Parent’s Day ‘do’

Kota Kinabalu: The oldest parents to attend the Parent’s Day celebration organised by Persatuan Kecergasan Dan Pembangunan Orang Tua Kota Kinabalu (Persatuan KOAT) will receive ang pows.
Its Chairman Kapitan Anthony Tang said some 500 parents and guests are expected to attend the event on June 28 starting 6.30pm at the Putera Ballroom, Bukit Padang, here.

He briefed State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew during a courtesy call on the latter at her office at Wisma Tun Fuad Stephens.
“We are a close-knit group and Parent’s Day is a yearly activity of our association,” he said.
Liew has been invited to grace the occasion marked by fellowship, songs and dances.
Also present were Persatuan KOAT Vice-Chairman Koo Yuan Jo and Secretary Ally Liew Nyuk Lee.
