Kota Kinabalu: Passersby were shocked to see a malfunctioned rollercoaster stopped high on its elevated track in a theme park in Kuala Lumpur, forcing its riders to evacuate by precariously walking down the track to safety, it has been reported.

TikTok user Neja (@neja_eja) said the scene sent chills down her spine, World of Buzz reported.

“It felt uneasy watching the passengers walking on the tracks, concerned that someone could slip and fall,” she told the social news outlet.

“I was actually shocked, especially considering I had ridden on the ride just a few months before that.”

A video zooms in on the passengers holding onto the railing as they carefully make their way down the track, away from the stalled train.

Netizens expressed their concern about the safety of the ride.

“This theme park should [consider] deep maintenance. [It] has been [there] a very long time. Many of the games [there] have [not been functioning properly],” said one user.
