LABUAN: A unique riverside restaurant which held out the promise of a delicious cuisine establishment after operating for some time has been left abandoned and neglected – the latest property to join Labuan Corporation’s list of flopped projects.
The restaurant, specialising in seafood and steamboat meals, appropriately named “Mr Crab”, was built at an estimated cost of about RM3 million along the Kinabenuwa river.

Business was brisk, initially, but fell into challenging times following the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2022.
The restaurant was popular because it sprouted in the midst of a tropical and tranquil setting with refreshing views and soothing breeze and showed potential of becoming a tourism spot.
