LABUAN: The Customs Department here has clarified that there is no requirement for a formal Customs Declaration for provisions, stores including items like fire extinguishers supplied to ships offshore marine industry.
Except that the department be informed of the movement with an invoice and shown in manifest.

Senior Customs officer Shuhaimi bin Shamsudin said this during a meeting with ship chandlers led by Deputy Chairman Datuk Robert Seah on June 13.
The Chairman of Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Datuk Wong Kii Yii, thanked the Customs for its assurance and added that the news came as a relief to many who had been bemoaning to declare such supplies and pay RM150 to agents to prepare the declaration.
