RANAU: The State Government has allocated RM43.49 million to upgrade the internet network in 1,031 State Government premises, including e-Desa Centres using optical fibre with a minimum speed of 300 Mbps, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

The State Government, through the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan, has also implemented various initiatives to empower and accelerate the development of digital technology infrastructure in Sabah, including speeding up implementation of the Digital Government Strategic Plan in the State by 2025.

The National Digital Network (Jendela), which is still in the implementation stage, is expected to be completed by 2025.
