UMS Multicultural Festival
Kota Kinabalu: University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) invites all to celebrate a more inclusive and harmonious society at the UMS Multicultural Festival at DKP LAMA 1 today and tomorrow (June 15-16).

Festival President and founder, Victor Chia said, the event aims to promote the harmony of different ethnics and showcase the diversity of culture in Malaysia.

“This festival will feature a diverse line-up of cultural performances including traditional dances, music and martial arts.

“Among other attractions are a food bazaar, busking area, funfair, traditional attire rentals and cultural workshops.

“Participants will have the opportunity to take part in the lucky draw with a grand prize of RM1,500 in cash and a month’s worth of free meal at Gerid Kitchen,” he said.

Victor said the festival is a testament to the university’s dedication in celebrating and understanding the diverse backgrounds that make up Sabah’s vibrant communities.

“It’s an opportunity for us to come together, learn from each other, and appreciate the beauty of our differences.

“Join us in this historic celebration of culture, unity, and nation togetherness. It’s more than an event, it’s a movement towards a more inclusive and harmonious society,” he added.

Victor can be reached at 011-28100792 for more information about the event.
