NABAWAN: Kampung Kelabu residents are appealing for a 160-acre land to be excluded from the Country Lease (CL) grant belonging to a peninsula-based company.
Their representative, Adini @ Ahmad Angilas, said they are appealing for the company and relevant departments to consider their appeal as they allegedly occupied the area before it was granted to the company.

Adini claimed residents in the area applied for the land in 1989.
“Our application was approved by the Sabah Land Department but the survey could not be carried out because the area was included in the CL grant processed through the Tongod District Land and Survey Department and the Sandakan Division,” he said during a briefing involving the affected residents and the company at the border of Nabawan and Tongod, on Friday.
