Kota Kinabalu: Couples wishing to tie the knot in style might see their dreams come true, as Hilton Kota Kinabalu is offering the gift of a lifetime with a 20pc discount on three of their world-class wedding packages.

The reduction will apply to three packages for a minimum booking of 15 tables, including “Chinese Wedding: New Beginning 2024”, “Chinese Wedding: New Beginning 2024”, and “Malay Wedding: New Memories 2021” with open booking throughout 2024 and 2025.

Hilton KK Commercial Director Shona Labasing said:

“We offer three packages, starting at RM1,988 per table. All packages are inclusive of bridal rooms as well as flowers, amenities, and other wedding favours. Those who book 40 tables and above will automatically be upgraded to the Presidential Suite.

“Our biggest selling-point is our pillarless, high ceiling grand ballroom: it’s one of the largest ballrooms in the city centre, and can accommodate up to 70 tables, or 670 guests. Our foyer is also grandiose, allowing for guests to mingle around prior to going in.

“And, of course, our cuisine – particularly the Chinese dinner – is the finest in KK, both in quality and in sustainability with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, in line with Hilton’s ESG programme.”

Booking six months to one year in advance is preferable, says Shona, as Hilton KK is one of the most sought-after venues in Sabah for lavish events of all types, with its team organising 80 weddings on a yearly average.

“Our boardroom will usually be booked as early as a year in advance. From September onwards up until December, most weekends are taken.

“It’s also why couples are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of RM5,000 upon confirmation of their booking.

“Nowadays, couples book in advance, especially since with all the preparation that comes with it such as registration, office, churches. Those with family flying in from overseas will also need to block their travelling dates and tickets,” she said.

Couples still on the fence will be able to get a preview of this once-in-a-lifetime experience at Hilton KK’s upcoming bridal fair on Sunday (June 16), from 10am to 5pm, where they will be able to meet with an array of exhibitors, including bridal houses, decorators, photographers, henna services, hair and makeup artists, jewellery stores, and many more.

Educational wedding talks will also be conducted, as well as sharing sessions for couples to ease any pre-wedding jitters by having their questions answered by industry professionals.

For brides-to-be in search of their dream dress, gowns will be showcased throughout two sets of fashion shows from Blushing Bride and NAZ Creations.

Additionally, visitors will enjoy live performances throughout the day, and have the opportunity to book any of them as wedding entertainment.
