Sedafiat wins Apea’s Corporate Excellence Award

Kota Kinabalu: Sedafiat Sdn Bhd achieved a new and significant milestone by winning the prestigious Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards 2024 (Apea 2024) (Malaysia Chapter) in the Corporate Excellence Award category.
Held recently in Kuala Lumpur, the award ceremony was attended by the Chairman of SME Corporation (SME Corp) Malaysia, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, who presented the award to Sedafiat’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ag Buhtamam Ag Mahmun.

The Apea 2024 was organised by Enterprise Asia which aims to recognise entrepreneurial and corporate excellence across the Asia Pacific region in driving innovation, fair practices and greater entrepreneurial growth.
In his appreciation speech, Ag Buhtamam regarded the Corporate Excellence Award as a recognition to Sedafiat’s capability and credibility as a Sabahan bumiputera entrepreneur to enter into the global stage, particularly in providing healthcare support services.
Sedafiat is currently the appointed support service provider for government hospitals in Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
“Winning this award signifies that we are on the right path to accomplishing our vision of becoming a leading world-class provider of hospital support services.

“It reflects our strong commitment to thriving not only in corporate entrepreneurship within our country but also venture into the markets beyond our borders.
“As a support service provider, our unwavering commitment to delivering the best healthcare support services to the nation, particularly the health welfare of our people, has always been guided by continuous quality improvements in our support services through new technology and innovations, incorporating the various aspect of ESG principles, especially governance and social welfare,” he said.

Dedicating the achievement to all his Sedafiat team, he said the award is a reflection of the strong team leadership in driving the company’s business and the collaborative efforts of stakeholders, especially the Ministry of Health Malaysia, the State Government of Sabah, various local agencies, as well the loyal and dedicated staff at Sedafiat.
“By prioritising our vision and mission to consistently deliver the highest quality of services, we have positioned ourselves for continuous excellence both domestically and internationally.
“This recognition inspires us to continue our journey of excellence and innovation,” he added.
Also at the event were members of Sedafiat’s Board of Directors, including Dato’ Mohd Zain Dahlan, Datuk Dr Mohd Yaakub Johari and Awang Roozan Mohd Nadzir, along with the Heads of Departments.
