BEAUFORT: Police warn vehicle owners here against parking in prohibited places and impeding traffic flow.
District Police Chief DSP Ismail Abdullah said a complainant reported a Toyota Avanza that was deliberately parked at a pedestrian crossing in the middle of the street.

When contacted on Thursday, he said such act was illegal because it disturbs the flow of both vehicles and pedestrians.
“The police also advise against parking in disabled spots clearly marked in white or yellow. It is reserved for those with disabilities…where else would they park their vehicles?
“There are many that deliberately park in no parking zones near Zulfia Restaurant, near the old shops, and also near the Al Madinah Restaurant on Jalan Lo Chung. Police will not hesitate to issue summons,” he said.
Cars in the two areas frequently block the entrance and exit and hog motorcycle parking spots. According to Ismail, police have received many complaints from the public fuming over irresponsible parking.
