SABAH FC beat PSIS Semarang 2-1 and took the third placing in the recent RCTI Premium Sports tournament which featured two teams from Malaysia (Selangor FC and Sabah FC) and two teams from Indonesia (PSIS Semarang and Persija Jakarta).
Selangor FC, who edged Sabah FC 3-2 in an earlier match, were the champions in the four-team tournament held in Jakarta, Indonesia after they defeated Persija Jakarta 1-0 in the final.

It was not a bad outing for Sabah FC considering we were without Darren Lok, Daniel Ting, Stuart Wilkin and Dominic Tan in the team due to national duties.
Apart from earning US$10,000 from the short trip, head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee also had the opportunity to try out the reserves in this tournament and I understand that he was quite pleased with the overall performance of his players.
