The promotional fares are available for booking on the AirAsia MOVE (previously known as airasia Superapp) and airasia.com from now until June 16, 2024, for travel between Sept 1, 2024, and March 28, 2025.
Kota Kinabalu: AirAsia, the leading low-cost carrier in the region, is further strengthening its connectivity from Kota Kinabalu with the introduction of a new direct route to Manado, Indonesia. 

Scheduled to commence on Sept 1, 2024, the new route will operate three times weekly, marking AirAsia's second route from Sabah to Indonesia, following its existing service to Jakarta.

With the addition of Manado, AirAsia will offer a total of 13 international routes with 83 weekly flights from and to Kota Kinabalu starting September 2024.

To celebrate the launch of the new route, AirAsia is offering free seats from Kota Kinabalu to Manado, with all-in one-way fares starting from RM139, and from Manado to Kota Kinabalu, with all-in one-way fares starting from IDR 468,020. 

The promotional fares are available for booking on the AirAsia MOVE (previously known as airasia Superapp) and airasia.com from now until June 16, 2024, for travel between Sept 1, 2024, and March 28, 2025.

Manado, the capital city of North Sulawesi, is renowned for its stunning underwater landscape and great mountain panorama. 

Visitors can dive at the renowned Bunaken Marine Park to experience its vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life. 

For nature enthusiasts, trekking up Mount Klabat provides stunning panoramic views.

The city also boasts cultural sites such as Ban Hin Kiong Temple and traditional Minahasan culinary delights like Tinutuan porridge, offering a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty.

The flight schedule for the new route is as follows: Kota Kinabalu – Manado (Flight No. AK 1797), departing at 8.50am and arriving at 11am, and Manado – Kota Kinabalu (Flight No. AK 1798), departing at 11.30am and arriving at 1.35pm.

With this new direct route to Manado, AirAsia continues to strengthen its connectivity from Kota Kinabalu, providing more travel options and convenience for passengers while promoting tourism and economic growth in the region.
