Sabah students shine on global stage

KENINGAU: Two students from Keningau Vocational College (KVC) have been honoured at the YOUTHMADE Festival Community Awards.
Out of 49 nominations worldwide, these students stood out among the crowd, showcasing their exceptional commitment to community service and innovation.
Siti Nur Hanisah Omar Hashim, a fourth-year student in Early Childhood Education, was awarded the “Most Promising Young Social Entrepreneur” for her outstanding work with her social enterprise, Mearpet. Her initiative focuses on upcycling pre-loved clothes and stuffed toys into puppets to educate and entertain children.
