Invite for free HRD Corp courses

Kota Kinabalu: The public, especially those from outside of the city, are invited to participate in various free courses offered through the National Training Week (NTW) portal.
Chief Strategy Officer of the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), Dr Rony A. Jubilee, said NTW is organised by HRD Corp under the auspices of the Ministry of Human Resources (Kesuma) which aims to cultivate lifelong learning among Malaysians.

“For the opening of the 2024 session, NTW starts from 24 to 30 June and it is hoped that more people, especially from the countryside, will also attend the organized training course.
“The main purpose is to give opportunities to the community regardless of age, status, whether working or studying or retired to get training in various fields.
“The training is either technical or in the form of life skills that allow them to add the necessary knowledge and skills for free,” he said.
There are more than 15,000 free courses offered on the NTW portal which focus on five main areas which are life skills (personal development and self-achievement), creativity and innovation (music, cultural arts and creative education) and finance (banking, insurance, investment and technology financial).

In addition, NTW also focuses on future skills (STEM, TVET, digitisation, artificial intelligence, and machine engineering) as well as sustainable development involving the environment, equality, development and prosperity.
