LABUAN: PKR Chief here Simsudin Sidek suggested that the relevant agency take a look at the low response to the jobs offer programme held here recently and establish the reasons for it.
The programme held jointly by the Ministry of Human Resouces and Perkeso at the foyer saw only 252 registering for the 99 vacancies offered by 16 companies for various jobs here.

Out of this 134 were male applicants and 118 females.
Simsudin said such poor turnout was unexpected as it did not reflect the situation at ground level nor in accordance with national statistics of Labuan unemployment rate holding at 7.5 per cent was considered the highest next to Sabah last year.
