KUDAT: Sabah Parks (TTS) collected RM1,199,260 in compound fines and compensation for Tun Mustapha Park (TTM) over the past eight years.

TTS Board of Trustees Chairman Peter Lintar, in his speech at the 8th-anniversary celebration of TTM’s gazettement on Pulau Banggi, said this amount represents the highest record of compound collections in TTS history.

TTS Director Dr Maklarin Lakim was also present at the event.

Peter congratulated all the agencies directly involved in helping to protect this park, particularly the police, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), and the park’s honorary rangers, who have been very committed to carrying out their entrusted duties and responsibilities.
