Kota Kinabalu: NGOs and political parties, particularly the opposition, heaped scorn on the stand taken by counsel purportedly for the State Government, Tengku Fuad Ahmad, on the 40pc tax revenue challenge by Sabah Law Society (SLS) against the Federal Government.
Sabar (Sabah Action Body Advocating Rights) said the stand by Fuad was a disservice to the people of Sabah and may have effectively destroyed the hopes of all Sabahans.

“Sabar is very much saddened. We are very much with SLS and the people of Sabah in our pursuit of our constitutional rights, guarantees and entitlements under the Constitution.
“We join hands with SLS in this mission. We are grateful to SLS and the Legal Team who, we understand, are even doing this pro bono,” said Trustee Board member Dr Henry Chok.
