Kota Kinabalu: Sabah President Cup player Adriano Carlos Peter still cannot believe his mother, Doris Anggun, 51, is no more after meeting her barely a day earlier – she was killed by a lightning strike in Kota Belud on April 29.
“I will never forget my mother, father and siblings coming to the UMS Padang to see me play against Negeri Sembilan in the opening match on April 28,” said Adriano, 18.

The centre back was proud that his mother had always been supportive of his football career.
“After the match, I went to meet them and my mother told me to train well, be disciplined and always listen to the coach. They then left for home in Kg Tempasuk.
