Danny is Sipitang Sugandoi Dazanak champ

SIPITANG: Danny Lovyechrist emerged champion of the Sipitang District Sugandoi Dazanak Kaamatan 2024 final competition.
He beat eight other finalists in the competition at the Sipitang Multipurpose Hall, Sunday.

Danny received RM800 in cash and a trophy. Second place was Qaisah Khairunisa Binti Syahlil, who received RM500 in cash and a trophy, while Devin Dee Rikin was third and took home RM200 in cash and a trophy.
The competition was held in conjunction with the 2024 district-level Kaamatan Festival, which was officiated by Sipitang Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Malaysian Cocoa Board, Datuk Matbali Musah also presented prizes to the winners.
Meanwhile, on the same day, the finals for both the Sugandoi and Mr Kamaatan (MRK), also known as Buvazoi Tavantang, Sipitang 2024 were held.
There were ten finalists for the Sugandoi category and seven for MRK.

In the Sugandoi event, Mexwell Michael emerged champion and pocketed RM1,500 in cash and a trophy. Nicholas Jacklin came in second and received RM1,000 and a trophy, while Donovan Andreey Damianus clinched third place and took home RM500 in cash and a trophy.
Meanwhile, Jeffry Jumenik emerged as the MRK Sipitang champion and received RM1,000, a hamper, a garland and flowers. Kelvin Nixcton Markus secured the runner-up and received RM800 in cash, a hamper, a necklace and flowers, while Nickholas Gihim took third place and received RM600 in cash, a hamper, a necklace and flowers.

Jeffry also awarded the title of Mr Popular, while Vincent received the Best Talent Award.
All MRK winners were presented with sponsored prizes from Faith Fleur, Isnalsabella, DTEC, Optical Concept, EM, MIA, Petronas, PC Personal Collection, Spurwin Development Sdn Bhd, Petshop, and Turcomp.
Meanwhile, Sipitang District KDCA Chairman Francis Japulis said Danny Lovyechrist, Mexwill Micheal, and Jeffry Jumenik would represent the district in the state-level final competitions of Sungandoi Dazanak, Sugandoi and MRK Kaamatan at Dewan Hongkod Koisaan (KDCA) Penampang later this month.
The district-level Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) competition will be on May 18 at the same location.
