Kota Kinabalu: The Education Ministry will set up a special committee to study the proposal to translate the Kadazan Dusun Language (BKD) curriculum into four other ethnic languages - Kadazan, Tatana, Lotud and Murut.
Penampang MP and Kadamaian Assemblyma,n Datuk Ewon Benedick, recently said in an official Facebook post that a meeting was held here with Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek regarding the issue.

“This discussion relates to the efforts and initiatives of the community, especially teachers involved in teaching the BKD curriculum, who are translating the textbooks and workbooks of this curriculum into the four other ethnic languages, namely Kadazan, Tatana, Lotud and Murut,” he said.
Ewon, who is also Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development, added that this effort was initiated to teach the languages according to the demographics of students in the targeted schools.
