Man allegedly butchers wife, offers 'meat' to neighbours

JAKARTA: A 41-year-old man in West Java allegedly murdered his wife, and tried to sell her body parts as “meat” to other villagers, detikJogja reported.
It was reported that Tarsum, who is a goat seller, attacked his wife, Yanti, 40, while she was on the way to the mosque in Dusun Sindangjaya, Ciamis regency, at 7.30am on May 3.

He allegedly beat her to death with a wooden block before hacking up her body in the middle of the road.
A police spokesperson was reported as saying that Tarsum was allegedly facing financial constraints and was depressed.
Upon knowing the incident, the village chief promptly reported it to the authorities, who then detained Tarsum.
