‘Identify e-Kasih recipients’ call

Salleh emphasised the importance of regularly updating the e-Kasih list to guarantee that the services reach all eligible individuals.
Kota Kinabalu: Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak (BN-Usukan) proposed that the Government take steps to enhance transparency in the e-Kasih programme, including publicly showcasing the e-Kasih name list.
He said this would ensure that deserving citizens receive the necessary e-Kasih assistance.

Salleh emphasised the importance of regularly updating the e-Kasih list to guarantee that the services reach all eligible individuals.
“The updating process is crucial in enabling the Government to assess the transparency and integrity of the village population,” he said when debating on the Government’s policy speech at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting, here, Tuesday.
Salleh stressed the need to ensure that only those who genuinely require assistance are listed as e-Kasih recipients.
Additionally, he highlighted the importance of creating more individuals with middle incomes within the State.

According to him, the middle-income group plays a vital role in stimulating the State’s economy.
Salleh also suggested that the State Government intensify the construction of affordable housing projects as well as provide the necessary resources for the success of the 1Community 1Product programme.

He said this initiative would contribute to the economic growth of the population, particularly in the long term.
Furthermore, he expressed hope that the Federal Government would accord Sabah autonomy in healthcare and education administration, mirroring the arrangement in neighbouring Sarawak.
