BEBC Sabah advisors get letters
Twelve panel advisors of the BIMP-EAGA Business Council Malaysia (Sabah), also known as BEBC Sabah region, have received their appointment letters. The letters were signed by BEBC Sabah Chairman Dr. Raymond Alfred and BIMP-EAGA Special Envoy for Sabah Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia.
Kota Kinabalu: Twelve panel advisors of the BIMP-EAGA Business Council Malaysia (Sabah), also known as BEBC Sabah region, have received their appointment letters.

The letters were signed by BEBC Sabah Chairman Dr. Raymond Alfred and BIMP-EAGA Special Envoy for Sabah Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia.

The ceremony was followed by the ‘Majlis Berbuka Puasa’ with Pandikar hosted by BIMP EAGA (Sabah) Business Council’s partner, Yayasan Metamorphosis.

It was attended by Nominated State Assemblyman Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee, Datuk Razalif Mohamad Zain and Datuk Sofian A Aziz, among others.

The gathering also saw the participation of seven orphanage homes, including Rumah Anak Kesayangan (Sembulan), Darubakti, Kota Belud, Ma’ahad Tahfiz Al-Quan Nahdatul limiah, (Taman Sempelang), Rumah Amal Kasih Kingfisher, Rumah Anak Yatim dan Asnaf as Sakinah, Madrasah Darul Hadis Darsa Sabah, Pasir Puteh, Putatan, and Madrasah Imam Nawawi. All these homes received donations from BEBC Sabah, demonstrating the council’s commitment to supporting the local community.

Dr. Raymond emphasised the need to review solutions and discuss scaling up innovative approaches promoted by the business council.

“This is to further support the Government of Sabah in making the BIMP EAGA an effective mechanism to deliver significant impacts through trade, tourism, business, and research-based initiatives in a sustainable manner,” he said.

The 12 panel advisors include Wong Thart Sin – Ministry of Transport and Trade Facilitation, Prof Dr Wilson Yong – Ministry of Maritime Academy, Port and Shipping Operation ; Datuk Ir Peter Lajumin – Ministry of Power and Energy (Generation, Transmission and Energy Security); Assoc Prof Ts Dr Rayner Alfred – Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Industrial 5.0; Assoc Prof Dr Geoffrey Tanakinjal – Ministry of Marketing, Socio Economic, Career and Innovation Development; Assoc Prof Dr Bonaventure Boniface Hunggim – Ministry of Agriculture-Farming Business and Other Commodity Trade; Dr Chin Pei Yee @ Christie – Ministry of Stakeholder Networking and Community Engagement; Dr Rafiq Bobby Idris – Ministry of Blue Economy and Economic-based Food Security; Assoc Prof Dr Ching Fui Fui @ Faihana Ching Abdullah – Ministry of Aquaculture and Food Farming related Project Development; Puan Sri Diana Diego Datuk Yusof Hamdain – Ministry of Tourism, Awareness – Education and Cultural Development; Dr Raymond Alfred – Ministry of Environment, Sustainability, Security and Certification; and Dr Loriot Kenson – Ministry of Health, Welfare and Community Empowerment.
