SANDAKAN: Libaran Wanita Upko applauds the Federal Government’s intentions to reduce extreme poverty across the country, particularly in Sabah.

Libaran Wanita Upko Head, Rusianah Lampog, said the party is committed to boosting local women’s economies.

“We have been given the mandate by Upko President Datuk Ewon Benedick to identify and help women entrepreneurs as well as new cooperatives that wish to start or expand their business in Sabah,” she said.

She said Libaran Upko Division Head Dr Peter Jr Naintin had also set a goal for the Wanita Division to assist 100 women in Libaran in becoming entrepreneurs and establishing a women’s cooperative.
