Kota Kinabalu: Junior Chamber International Tanjung Aru 2024 President Amanda Yong and her Borad of Directors will be installed during the upcoming 2024 JCI Tanjung Aru 43rd Installation and Awards Banquet at Hakka Hall, here, on March 3.
In line with the installation and awards banquet, JCI Tg Aru aims to provide opportunities and impact 1,000 young people in Sabah through their 2024 development activities.

Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Datuk Ceasar Mandela Malakun will be the guest of honour for the event, the JCI said in a statement on Monday.
As a 43-year-old local organisation (LO), it said JCI Tanjung Aru stands as the largest LO in Sabah, boasting a membership of 64 individuals.
“In 2023, we were honoured to receive several accolades, including the JCI Area Sabah Best of the Best Local Organization Award, the 100pc Efficiency Award, and the prestigious 3-Star ranking as a Local Organisation in JCI Malaysia.
Over the years, we have spearheaded numerous community projects and have nurtured countless community and business leaders who have contributed significantly to positive change in our communities.

“In line with our commitment to youth empowerment, JCI Tanjung Aru is thrilled to announce the launch of the 1st JCI Youth in Sabah, in collaboration with Jesselton University College, with the aim of empowering over 400 youth.
“In the upcoming banquet, we will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JCI Malaysia for the hosting rights to the 2024 JCI Malaysia National Convention (Natcon).

Scheduled to take place in Kota Kinabalu from Oct 17 to 19, this convention is the largest event in JCI Malaysia, and JCI Tanjung Aru is committed to bringing together over 1,000 delegates from across the nation and beyond,” it further said.
JCI Tanjung Aru expressed its gratitude to the corporate sponsors, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in the success of its endeavours over the years.
JCI Tanjung Aru’s 2024 Board of Directors comprise President Amanda Yong, Immediate Past President Kevin Khor Jun Jie, Executive Vice President Joanna Chong kae suan, Treasurer Lim Ja Yi, Secretary Liau Chen Hong, General Legal Counsel Yee Keh Wei, Vice President (Business) Lim Wuang Ching, Vice President (Individual) Lo Hong En, Vice President (Community) Eric len joon yih and Vice President (International) Lee Wei Shen.
