‘Special allocation soon for Penampang, Kadamaian schools’
Ewon who is also Kadamaian Assemblyman said it is his responsibility to help solve school development needs in the Kadamaian and Penampang.
Kota Kinabalu: Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick announced that he will grant a special allocation for the education development programme for all elementary and secondary schools in Penampang and Kadamaian this year.

According to the Penampang Member of Parliament, this involves allocating funds to schools that offer Special Integration Education Programme (PPKI) classes.

“The addition of the assemblyman’s special allocation allows us to help and provide more development needs to the people in the area we represent.

“As a result, I will continue to provide RM10,000 for secondary schools and RM5,000 for primary schools in Kadamaian and Penampang, as I did last year.

“At the request of the PPKI teachers, I will also prepare a special allocation to fund equipment for the PPKI classes in the area I represent,” he said when speaking at the Majlis Tautan Kasih SMK Narinang held at Raia Hotel, here, recently.

Ewon who is also Kadamaian Assemblyman said it is his responsibility to help solve school development needs in the Kadamaian and Penampang.

At the event, Ewon approved SMK Narinang’s application for RM50,000 from the minister’s special allocation to install a Smart I Board in the school’s main hall, as well as the Assemblyman’s special allocation of RM35,000 to upgrade SMK Narinang’s Parent and Teacher Association (PIBG) hut for the use of temporary classes due to the increase in new Form 1 students.

The sudden increase in the number of students at the school caused overcrowding and the number of classes had to be increased.

This is because the number of classes at the moment cannot accommodate the increasing number of students.

“For the bigger needs and the construction of permanent classes, I will bring the education minister to visit SMK Narinang to personally look into means of solving it this year,” he said.
