Mayor urges Kota Kinabalu Puspanita to do more for people in need

Kota Kinabalu: Diversifying charitable activities and helping communities in need are one of the latest focuses of the Sabah National Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita) Kota Kinabalu Branch.
Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Sabin Samitah said this matter is important to ensure that members under them are not overlooked in getting the necessary help and thus strive to empower Puspanita.

He said previously the Puspanita Branch was very active in doing activities that could benefit the local community.
“I hope that this time they will be able to multiply their activities by planning programmes earlier so that all implementations can be achieved.
“Most importantly, priority should be given to the children of members and other members who may need help, especially in the early school season and before the major exams later on,” he said after a turn-over note ceremony to the New Puspanita Kota Kinabalu City Branch Chairperson, here, Friday.
Dr Sabin also urged them to focus on improving friendships among existing Puspanita members.

“I want them to further improve their relationship so that every planned activity is done out of good cooperation, especially among Puspanita members, most of whom are also members of DBKK.
“They can also leverage on this opportunity when interacting with Puspanita members from other State Government departments,” he said.

Earlier in the ceremony, a task-note was handed over between former Puspanita KK Branch Chairperson Rosnah Datu Tumai and new Chairperson Datin Sri Adreen Aderizza Mohamad Soffi.
