Self-employed man pleads not guilty to cheating, impersonating MACC officer in KK

Kota Kinabalu: A self-employed man was charged in the Special Corruption Court here Wednesday with two counts of cheating a man of RM49,300 by posing as a senior officer of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
Aries Ryan Phillip Among, 29, who appeared before Sessions Court Judge Jason Juga, pleaded not guilty to committing the offences on June 24, 2023, and on June 30 in the staff housing of the Sabah Contingent Police Headquarters, Kepayan, here.

The court fixed Feb 14 for pre-trial case management and released Aries on a bail of RM40,000 with RM5,000 deposited in one surety for both charges.
