Tuaran: A mother hopes the death of her 18-year-old son due to apparent late diagnosis at the hospital here for hemorrhagic dengue fever will serve as a reminder and lesson to all parties.

Lily Pius, 40, said losing her second of six children, Aidil @ Erjuand Christian, has been difficult for the family, but has accepted it as the will of God.

“Aidil was a wonderful son who respected his parents. He was adored by both his siblings and his friends.

“It is difficult to accept that he is gone, but we are only human. Life and death are in the hands of God,” she said.
