“We only hope the relevant authority will consider safety measures,” said Philomena, 37, when met at the funeral parlour where her parents’ remains lay prior to Wednesday’s funeral.
She suggested installing traffic lights or reflective transverse rumble strips to reduce vehicle speed and increase driver alertness, in addition to better lighting along the stretch.
