Phoong: Industrial park sites being identified
“Not every place is suitable, but we are already taking up the initiative. So in six months we should be able to identify the areas. Then we will work on the master plan,” Phoong said.
Kota Kinabalu: The State Government is identifying suitable land to develop new industrial parks in Kimanis and Kota Marudu-Kota Belud and subsequently map out a master plan for its development.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor had first announced in July that Sabah would construct the two new parks as the other two existing parks – the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (Sogip) and Kota Kinabalu Industrial park (KKIP) – are almost fully occupied.

State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe said the State Government is currently working with the Land and Survey Department on the matter.
