Kota Kinabalu: The three-day 38th National Chinese Cultural Festival to be held at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) starting 6th October will be officially closed by guest of honour Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as special guest on October 8.
Organising Chairperson, Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen said, preparations for the event started four months ago with the Cultural Torch Run carried across the South China Sea from West to East Malaysia.

She said the sacred torch was carried from Bukit Cina, Malacca on May 29 to Sabah where it has so far made a total of 12 stops.
It will later pass Keningau and Tenom on Sept 24, Ranau on Sept 25 and finally the final stop on the peak of Mount Kinabalu on Sept 26.
