Only 27pc students opted for science

RANAU: Student involvement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (Stem), especially pure science in Sabah, is decreasing and the matter is being seriously addressed by the government.
Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, said:
“The number of students who continued their studies in the field of Science this year is only 27 per cent, still far from our target to achieve 60:40 (60pc Science stream and 40pc Literature stream).
