Reject Perikatan Nasional for insulting royals: Umno
Bung said the trust given by the leadership to help campaign in Selangor would be the opening of a new chapter in national politics with a more cohesive and organised work movement from every member and party supporter in PH and BN, especially to capture the hearts of voters.
GOMBAK: Sabah Barisan Nasional Chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin called on voters here to reject Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates who have reportedly offended Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

“This is evidence why voters should reject when these candidates go to the extent of involving the Sultan in campaign talks,” Bung said, Wednesday. Bung said PN should respect the order to not involve the Royalty in their campaign.

“We leave that to the police to investigate. The ability of the people or voters in Gombak Setia to assess the candidates is crucial.

The Gombak Setia State constituency is represented by BN’s Datuk Wira Megat Zulkarnian Omardin, while Sungai Tua State Constituency is represented by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari of PKR,” he said.

Bung said the opposition candidates allegedly promised that following the state elections, the federal and state governments would both change.

“This is yet another proof of a big lie intentionally created to deceive the public,” he said.

“We must therefore make sure the Unity Government machinery wins big on August 12,” he said.

In another campaign round in Klang, Bung called on all the political party machineries under the Unity Government, especially BN Sabah to work hard and move as a team to ensure victory for the coalition in the State Elections (PRN) on Aug 12.

He said the Sabah BN machinery, entrusted by the central leadership to look after 12 State constituencies, must be highly committed in campaigning, including helping the unity government candidates in other constituencies.

“So far the collaboration between the BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) unity government party machinery is going well and I hope this will continue until polling day.”

During the visit, Bung managed to go to DUN 44 Selat Klang to meet BN candidate Datuk Roslee Abd Hamid and motivated the party machinery in the area.

Accompanying him was Sabah Umno Secretary Datuk Jafry Ariffin and several divisional leaders from Sabah.

Bung said the trust given by the leadership to help campaign in Selangor would be the opening of a new chapter in national politics with a more cohesive and organised work movement from every member and party supporter in PH and BN, especially to capture the hearts of voters.

He said a victory in Selangor would not just be about the success of PH and BN, but a symbol of the Unity Government’s efforts to raise Malaysia’s dignity and respect in the region.

“We understand in Selangor there are many who are intelligent and mature in politics, so the success this time will determine the new standard of politics in this country” he said.

As such, Bung who is also Umno Supreme Council Member, wants the party machinery’s efforts to be done with passion, sincerity and the right intention to save the people and country from power hungry religious extremists and narrow-minded people.
