Pastry in Malaysia for the first time to launch a limited edition of ponkan dessert to enjoy Taichung’s high-quality taste.
This year, the organizer is working with renowned Malaysian bakery chain RT Pastry to launch a range of limited edition ponkan pastries and are inviting Malaysians to experience the rich flavours of Taichung high-quality agricultural products.
The Shigang District Farmers’ Association held a press conference on the 28th of this month, and guests of honor include James Chang, Director of Economic Division, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia; Kambric Yin, Deputy Secretary General of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Malaysia; Eva Peng, Director of Taiwan Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, and Edmanda Chang, Chief Financial Officer of Khaishen Trading Sdn Bhd.

Guests and medias listened to Youtuber Chef Hong and representative of RT Pastry sharing their experience in making desserts using Taichung Ponkan.
Mr. Fu Yu-Chin (Director of Marketing Department of the Shigang District Farmers’ Association) explained that Malaysians will not only be able to buy the fresh ponkan from major supermarkets, grocers and fruit shops, but will be able to experience the flavours of Taiwanese ponkan in limited edition pastries created by renowned Malaysian bakery, RT Pastry, and internet celebrity chef Mr. Hong Kitchen.
Consumers will get to enjoy the tantalizing Ponkan Cheesecake, Pound Cake and Custard from January 10th at RT Pastry’s Subang branch.
