By Concerned MANY right-thinking Malaysians are shocked that RM1.5bil was allegedly stolen from projects worth RM7.5bil meant to supply water and electricity and build roads in rural areas in Sabah, and elsewhere.
Someone in authority must step forward, take responsibility for the lost money and resign from all posts.
It is also unlikely that the government machinery in charge of auditing all public fund expenditure has been sleeping on the job over the past six years while millions were being siphoned off.
A new and independent auditing body must be appointed to oversee other ongoing and future government projects.
