YOUR recent report on a widower suspecting contaminated chicken to be the cause of death of a woman in Kg Kaiduan in Papar refers.
It is possible that diseased chicken is being sold to these poor villagers cheap and who may be buying them out of choice.
Previously, there was a report of fish laced with formalin also being sold by mobile traders in the interior villages.
In this connection, I hope that the authorities will also send their enforcement personnel to conduct spot checks on sundry shops run by foreigners using fiancee licences all over the State to ensure that canned foodstuff that had long expired are not being sold to unsuspecting poor villagers.
