SANDAKAN Forwarding Association organised a dialogue with Sandakan Lorry Hire Association, Sandakan Shipping Association and Sandakan Chinese Chamber of Commerce with Sabah Ports at Karamunting office, in Sandakan, recently.

Chong Thien Ming, Deputy Chairman for Sandakan Lorry Hire Association as well as Sandakan Forwarding Association, explained that the purpose of the meeting was to regulate a better procedure in time- and cost-saving for agents and customers.

Chong added that the meeting was fruitful and Sabah Ports thoroughly understands the associations’ intention to push for better facilities and efficiency.

Chong also proposed for a meeting every three months on related matters, adding that the district’s economy is showing signs of recovery.  

He wants Sabah Ports to be prepared to tackle arising problems and cut down on congestion.
