LABUAN: A major blackout plunged almost half the town into darkness and impacted several hotels, F&B outlets, a bank and other businesses.
Describing the power outage as the worst in recent times, Labuan Women’s Affairs Association (Hawa) Chief Fauziah Datuk Din, who has an office and hotel in town, said it started at about 5pm on Monday.

“Until now (mid-day Tuesday) we are still suffering without electricity,” she said.
She said when she called SESB hotline there was no one picking up the call.
