PETALING JAYA: Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd (BPMB) has appointed Sulaiman Tahir as its new chairman and independent non-executive director, effective March 20.
In a statement, BPMB said Sulaiman brought with him three decades of senior leadership experience in the Malaysian financial landscape, including his recent tenure as group CEO of AmBank Group.

The bank’s CEO Roni Abdulwahab also welcomed Sulaiman on behalf of the management.
“His leadership and guidance as chairman will be instrumental in steering Bank Pembangunan towards achieving our strategic objectives and promoting sustainable growth, as we deliver impact capital for national development,” he said.
