LABUAN: Labuan Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Datuk Dahlif Singh praised the Royal Malaysian Customs Department Sabah for its big haul of contraband cigarette and booze in Kota Kinabalu and Penampang, recently.
The seizures worth millions of ringgit clearly showed Labuan has been wrongly targeted as the source of contraband entering the mainland and having its tax-free advantages withdrawn or curbed by a previous PAS Federal Territories Minister.

He said the seized goods showed no evidence of having originated from Labuan.
The recent seizures worth RM5.4 million were in separate containers that landed at Sepanggar Port and a warehouse in Penampang with falsified documents.
