Deputy Speaker Datuk Al Hambra Juhar, who also serves as the Foundation’s Chairman, said the donations were intended to alleviate the burden of the fire victims.
The donations were in the forms of cash, food and clothing for the victims of the fire that destroyed 10 houses last Sunday.
He also advised the people to be aware of potential hazards such as fire, particularly during the drought.

“All of the preparations, especially for the children, such as clothes and shoes, are gone,” claimed the father of six children aged one to eight.
“I am grateful for the donations which can help ease our burden and buy necessities for my children. I hope the authorities will allow me to rebuild my house at the original site as we make preparations for the Raya celebration,” he said.
