LABUAN: Former Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Datuk Hiew King Chieu said the survey showing Sabah occupying the top position in the national hardcore poverty rate is of concern and speaks the need for Sabah to be given more funds to overcome the situation.
“It gives more reason why the Federal Government should expedite the payment of 40 pc federal revenue collected from Sabah and other sources, so that the State Government would be in a better position to have its own initiatives and programmes to pluck Sabah out of the distress.
