No secret Warisan has resorted to dirty tactics: Ambrose

Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan should re-examine itself as to what it has done when it was in power for 26 months, said Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Supreme Council member Datuk John Ambrose.

“Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor was not wrong when he criticised Warisan over its antic of undermining the GRS-PH Plus State Government. It is no secret that Warisan has resorted to using dirty tactics to tarnish the image of the present State Government,” he said.

Ambrose said Hajiji never made any excuses to justify the shortcomings in his administration as claimed by Warisan’s Sri Tanjong Assemblyman Justin Wong.

“Justin’s statement actually proved that Warisan did nothing for the State during its 26 months in power when he said Warisan President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal was the Chief Minister for only a brief period of 26 months.

It just shows Hajiji has the vision under his Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya initiative to develop the State, while Warisan apparently has none,” he said, Wednesday.

Ambrose said Justin’s claim that Sabah had remained stagnant since 2020 was a clear indication of Warisan’s modus operandi to tarnish the image of Hajiji and his administration.

“It was a lie that the rakyat can see through. Record revenues year after year, billions in foreign investments and more job opportunities being created are some of the things that Warisan could not achieve,” he said.

Ambrose said Justin and Warisan leaders have been using social media to further their agenda of tarnishing the GRS-PH State Government.

On Justin’s claim of whether Warisan is capable of writing every comment on social media platform, Ambrose said Justin should not play dumb.

“Of course, Warisan is not capable of writing every comment but who were behind those many Facebook and TikTok posts aimed at shaming Hajiji and his administration.

“An example was the TikTok video of Justin being shown as a hero while the Chief Minister was portrayed as a villain in the State Assembly recently. Is this being done by Warisan, Justin or netizens?

“It was clearly made with the intention to show how daring and smart Justin is. Do you think netizens would love Justin so much to make such video for him?

“So, Warisan should stop playing ignorant after being slammed by the Chief Minister for distorting facts to smear the State Government’s image,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ambrose said in the spirit if the Ramadan fasting month, all politicians should stop stooping to so low to run down each other.

“Priority should be focused on the people’s interest and problems. Too much politicking is no good…leave it to when the State election is being called,” he said.
