SANDAKAN: Sabah Umno Deputy Chief, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan, said the history of Umno’s entry into Sabah needs to be explained to the people to correct their misconception about the party.
“We need to explain to the people of Sabah and Muslim Bumiputeras that Umno exists in Sabah to fight for the interests and unity of Muslim Bumiputeras without denying the rights of non-Muslim Bumiputeras.
“This history needs to be highlighted again because there are many misconceptions about Sabah Umno.
“There are three main factors regarding Umno’s entry into Sabah,” he said at the Sekong Umno Gerak 17 event at the Batu Sapi People’s Housing Project (PPR), recently.
