Harisa was charged under Section 25(1)(b) of the National Registration Regulation which provides for a jail term of up to three years or fine, on conviction.
NRD Prosecuting Officer Mohd Naser Mohd Nadzeri applied for an adequate sentence as the offence committed was serious and sensitive and involving the sovereignty of the country.
Unrepresented, Harisa pleaded for a lenient sentence as she is a divorcee and has four children.
The court ordered Harisa to serve the sentence from the date of her arrest on March 6.
